15 Ohioans to Be Inducted into Senior Citizens Hall of Fame



Ursel J. McElroy, director of the Ohio Department of Aging, and John Corlett, chairperson of the Ohio Advisory Council for Aging, will be joined by other officials and guests today to induct 15 outstanding older Ohioans into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame during a special ceremony. Dignitaries across the state will be on hand to congratulate and thank the inductees for their lifelong contributions to their communities, their professions, and their vocations.

The ceremonies begin with a meet-and-greet at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, 1 Capitol Square, Columbus. The Induction ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Ohio Channel will livestream the ceremony, beginning at approximately 1:20 p.m. It can be viewed at https://www.ohiochannel.org/live/special-events.

The 2022 Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame inductees are:

- Martha H. Boice, Centerville

- Ken Culver, Lancaster

- Debbie Cannon Freece, Columbus

- Patricia Furterer, Loveland

- Greer Glazer, RN, PhD, FAAN, Solon

- Robert E. Grim, Sabina

- Jim Kerr, Lisbon

- Dr. John S. Mattox, Flushing

- Edward A. McKinney, PhD, Cleveland Heights

- Ruby T. Miller, Cincinnati

- Jerry Rampelt, Columbus

- Betty J. Wiechert, Zanesville

- Vaughn Wiester, Columbus
